What influenced you to choose Prospa for your management service provider?
We were getting older and needed more time off and we felt ready to consider orchard management. We talked to people and had really good feedback about Prospa, and we liked the relationship with EastPack.
How well do you feel your orchard has performed under Prospa management?
Our orchard has performed really well, Prospa has improved the orchard.
How would you describe the relationship you have with your Orchard Manager?
We have had three Orchard Managers over the time we have been with Prospa and they have all been excellent. The whole Prospa team is great.
How much do you value the orchard performance reporting you receive from Prospa?
We have confidence in hearing how everything is going from our Manager, we like the reporting provided but don’t feel the need to look at it too much.
How effective do you feel your Orchard Manager is at producing the crop as cost efficiently as possible?
Prospa manage the budget and costs well. I like that we talk together and make a plan, then we can get a gauge on what is needed from the bank. I have confidence that if Prospa are going to do a job, it will be done at the best cost possible. We even had a big hail year and came through it fine.
How well do you feel Prospa manages the Health & Safety and compliance requirements for your orchard?
We don’t even think about it, we know Prospa is looking at it and have full confidence it is being taken care of.
What do you like most about having Prospa manage your orchard?
We like that we can just get on with life and do what we want to do. We don’t have to worry, we can be involved if we want, but it’s great that we don’t have to. Our Orchard Manager is good company so we do enjoy a good chinwag.
What advice would you have for anyone considering partnering with Prospa?
I would say do it tomorrow! We have already been telling the neighbours to move. We have confidence in what Prospa does and the results are very good.
