What influenced you to choose Prospa for your management service provider?
I did my homework. I looked at a number of orchards that were being managed and decided to go with Prospa.
How well do you feel your orchard has performed under Prospa management?
I am very happy with the results in general, and I am extremely happy with my Orchard Manager. It is important to have a manager you gel with to work alongside, and I give him 10/10 for this.
How would you describe the relationship you have with your Orchard Manager?
I have a good working relationship with my Orchard Manager), he is awesome. We can have an open discussion and there is no harm in disagreeing with each other not that it ever happens. He is not just a manager; he is now also a friend.
How much do you value the orchard performance reporting you receive from Prospa?
There is more than enough information to garner from in the reports, but nothing beats an in person catch up, so the reports complement that. I have a great rapport with my Orchard Manager, I enjoy walking the orchard and discussing while we walk. The data is useful and supports our conversations.
How effective do you feel your Orchard Manager is at producing the crop as cost efficiently as possible?
I feel my Orchard Manager is always trying to do his best and we make tweaks to the budget together. We review the season and make a plan for the upcoming season and manage costs that way. The costs did blow out slightly in some places last year, but our results have been spectacular. Every season is different, and we respond accordingly.
How well do you feel Prospa manages the Health & Safety and compliance requirements for your orchard?
It is fantastic as don’t need to deal with it anymore. I have confidence it is being done properly.
What do you like most about having Prospa manage your orchard?
It comes down to the relationship and trust. I trust Prospa 100%. I have gone overseas recently but I wouldn’t have done that a few years ago. I know if something does go wrong it won’t be an intentional mistake. I trust my Orchard Manager is always trying his best.
