What influenced you to choose Prospa for your management service provider?
The people we bought our orchard off recommended we stay with Prospa, my husband researched it and agreed. When my husband died five years ago, Prospa have been helping me and are doing a good job of the orchard.
How well do you feel your orchard has performed under Prospa management?
The first year after my husband died, my Orchard Manager and Grower Services Representative were outstanding. I didn’t know enough so was reliant on them, and they gave me personal tuition on orcharding and were really helpful.
We have been hailed, but I don’t think there is anything more they can do right now to make us produce more.
How would you describe the relationship you have with your Orchard Manager?
My relationship is really good, we get on very well and he is always available, considerate, and quick to act.
How much do you value the orchard performance reporting you receive from Prospa?
I find the reporting interesting however I don’t feel I need to read all of it or place too much focus on it. I prefer that my Orchard Manager keep me informed. He communicates with me well.
How effective do you feel your Orchard Manager is at producing the crop as cost efficiently as possible?
The grower mentality is that we want to pay less, it has been tough for green growers and expenses have gone up. There are jobs on orchard that need doing and can’t be avoided, but I feel that our budget is managed well.
How well do you feel Prospa manages the Health & Safety and compliance requirements for your orchard?
Compliance has been managed well, and my staff have commented on the improvements over the last couple of years.
What do you like most about having Prospa manage your orchard?
I am confident Prospa is doing right by me. I feel that Prospa are doing a really good job for me, and working hard to get the best out of my orchard for me. They are reliable, and helpful and patient. I never feel like I am being annoying when I ring and ask questions, they are always respectful and happy to chat.
What advice would you have for anyone considering partnering with Prospa?
If you want someone to get the best outcome out of your orchard, they are the right people. It has been a stress-free experience. You get loyal, hardworking people with Prospa. If another operator offered me a better deal I would be hard pushed to leave – there is a not a sweet enough deal to get me to leave Prospa.
